Councillor Cathy Zeiger

Cr Cathy Zeiger, has lived in Cairns for over 30 years, and is the Councillor for Division 3 (Bayview Heights, Mount Sheridan, White Rock and Woree), serving her second term as a Cairns Regional Council representative.

Cathy has focused most of her working life looking to improve the life of others in her community, through running her own businesses, volunteer and charity work, veterinary nursing and working with youths in a number of capacities.

Cathy takes over from Max O’Halloran as the Chair for the Sport and Community Services committee at Council.

Bluey Forsyth

Ambassador Bluey Forsyth

Bluey is a local sports journalist and grandstand presenter for ABC Far North Queensland.  He keeps the region up to date with all the latest local sporting results.  Bluey is a big advocate for sport and racing in North Queensland, in particular sport at the grass roots level.

Bluey is genuinely passionate about sport and assisted us with the official launch of the Go Clubs Program in November 2013.  Since this time, he has been the biggest promoter of the program out in the community.

Jimmy Maher

Ambassador Jimmy Maher

A local born North Queenslander, former Queensland Bulls player, now Managing Director of the Bulls Masters, Jimmy Maher now gives back to the sport which gave him so much.  Assisting youngsters through the Bulls Masters on the basics of cricket and importance of community clubs.

Jimmy was on hand to officially launch the Go Clubs Volunteer Recognition Program in May 2014.  Every sporting champion started as a new face at a junior club, finding guidance and support that would set them on the path to success that Jimmy knows too well, which makes him a great ambassador of the Go Clubs program.
